Also called Imagination Valley, Devrent is unlike any other site in Cappadocia because its rock formations resemble animals and objects rather than the typical fairy chimney shapes. The most famous is the camel rock, which looks remarkably like a resting camel with its humps clearly defined. Other formations resemble a rabbit, a snake, a dolphin, and even the Virgin Mary — though half the fun is spotting your own shapes. The valley requires no hiking — you can see the best formations from a short walk along the roadside. Devrent makes a perfect quick stop between Pasabag and Goreme, taking only 15-20 minutes to explore.
